Frankie Jones, Student Counseling Intern

Hi there! I am a student intern at Creative Family Counseling’s Lyndon Campus. I am in my final year of the University of Louisville’s Master of Couple and Family Therapy Program. I am also trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.

I grew up here in Louisville, Kentucky and attended Oberlin College where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History. After graduating, I spent nearly 10 years working for a variety of social justice-oriented organizations as an advocate, educator, and organizer. My belief in social and racial justice continues to be a driving force in my therapeutic approach. I believe that all human beings deserve healing and that, when we are given the tools and resources to thrive, we can take better care of ourselves and each other. I approach each person at any age with the understanding that you are the expert on you.

As a transgender person myself, I love to work with LGBTQ individuals, couples, and families. Whoever you are and whatever path you are walking, I would love the opportunity to accompany you along the way.
