I am a Licensed Professional Art Therapist who loves using Art Therapy and Play Therapy interventions as a safe and fun way to connect with children and adolescents. I work hard to create an approachable and non-threatening atmosphere with all my clients so they can accomplish their goals and adjust to life’s challenges. I started my career in inpatient hospital settings where I developed a strong passion for helping kids, teens, and families.
I highly value working with my clients to process trauma, develop a strong sense of self, and promote healthy living.
After graduating from Auburn University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts and a minor in Psychology, I received my Masters in Education in Counseling and Personnel Services with a concentration in Art Therapy from the University of Louisville. I am currently an Independently Licensed Art Therapist and received my Board Certification in 2019. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, practicing under the supervision of Tracy Oldaker, LPCC-S.
As an Art Therapist, I strive to provide a warm environment where clients feel secure to explore social and emotional concerns. I have a passion for creativity and communication and am passionate about helping others tap into their potential throughout the creative process.
