Group Therapy
Group Therapy supports people of all ages experiencing a variety of concerns, including challenging relational patterns, low self-esteem, life transitions, interpersonal conflicts, feelings of isolation or alienation, symptoms of anxiety or depression, emotional disregulation, and family conflicts or changes.
Group Therapy addresses these concerns by providing a safe, supportive environment to learn from others’ experiences, develop emotional tools, build and practice healthy relational interactions, discover personal strengths and resilience, and to increase self-awareness and self-compassion.
Therapists at Creative Family Counseling have clinical training to gently correct maladaptive behaviors and thought processes, encourage pro-social behaviors, facilitate positive change, and provide helpful psychoeducation within Group Therapy. These skills are gained through Group activities, exercises, teachings, and discussions. Group Therapy is a highly effective therapeutic modality that may be implemented as a stand alone mental health treatment, or in addition to other forms of therapy such as individual, family, or couples counseling.
We offer multiple Therapy Groups to meet the diverse needs of our clients, while considering factors such as age, concerns, and social skills. Some of our current and upcoming group offerings include Teen Groups, Parent Support Groups, Play Therapy Groups, Grief Groups, and Social Skills Groups. All of our Groups are rooted in strengths, connection, compassion, and provide wonderful opportunities to learn and practice new skills.
