Lindy Kennedy
I am a Couples and Family Therapy Student intern at Creative Family Counseling’s Prospect Campus and completing my Masters of Science in Couple and Family Therapy at the University of Louisville. I earned my Undergraduate degree at the University of Louisville in Sociology.
Prior to embarking on my journey into therapy, I owned and operated Center Stage Dance Company, Inc. CSDC was a respected dance studio that provided services to children, adolescents, and teens in Louisville for 25 years.Through this venture, I was privileged to foster the physical, emotional, and artistic development of countless young individuals. I passionately upheld my business mission-to instill a strong sense of self into each student, equipping them with the bravery and self-assurance to navigate through life’s changes and challenges.
In working closely with families and guiding my students to recognize their own individual strengths and distinct attributes, I discovered a profound sense of personal satisfaction. I realized the immense value of cherishing each individual’s experiences and uniqueness. This deeply fulfilling aspect of my career inspired me to return to school and commence the path to becoming a therapist.
I am thrilled to offer high-quality, evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, teens, couples, and families within my community. My goal as a therapist is to serve as a compassionate, insightful listener who cooperatively devises, encourages, and supports my client’s intentions toward personal growth and relational harmony.
