Meaghan Rankin, MAMFT
Everyone deserves connection.
I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Associate and a graduate of both Capella University and Lindsey Wilson College. My therapeutic approach is nurturing, collaborative, and trauma informed.
In my work with parents/guardians and families, I integrate a cooperative and psychoeducational approach. I also utilize experiential, expressive, and play therapy interventions to help children and teens process their emotions and experiences. I am under the Supervision of Beth Seeger Troy, LMFT for Marriage and Family Therapy licensure.
I work with children (ages 2 and up), teens, adults, couples, and families that are experiencing difficulties related to self-regulation, relationship stress, emotional expression, and adjustment to life transitions. With additional training as a Certified AutPlay Therapist, I have expertise in treating children who struggle with managing big feelings, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and other neurodivergence. As a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, I enjoy working with parents looking to add new parenting tools to their toolkit.
I would be honored to have the opportunity to support you and your loved ones while creating more positive interactions in your lives and relationships.
When working with individuals, I utilize methods including Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness. When working with couples and intimate partnerships, I find Emotion Focused Therapy interventions and Solution Focused Therapy are helpful.
It is important to me that clients feel safe, comfortable, and respected within every session with me. I will regularly ask for client feedback so I can choose an approach that best fits the client’s need while they are on their journey of growth and healing with me.
