Locust Grove Elementary

Creative Family Counseling is proud to offer therapy services at Locust Grove Elementary School. Erica Adams is our therapist there. She comes to the table with 10 years of therapy experience with children and adolescents.

Erica is especially skilled and experienced in working with clients experiencing a range of crises and symptoms that interfere with their ability to exist safely in the spaces in their lives. This is especially important in school where symptoms can interfere with a child’s feeling and doing their best!

Erica uses a combination of individual and family therapy using strategies from:

  • art therapy
  • cognitive behavioral therapy
  • play therapy

Erica is currently at Locust Grove on Wednesday afternoons each week and offers telehealth or office-based services when school is not in session. Group therapy is also offered focusing on a range of needs from social-emotional learning to transitioning between elementary and middle, among others. In addition to sessions with the child and their parents, Erica works with the mental health consultant, Patrick Wagner, the school counselors Angie Annie and Michelle Carter, and clients’ teachers to create a holistic treatment plan and ongoing collaboration for each child.

To schedule an intake with Erica or to discuss if SFS would be a good fit, reach out via email at eadams.llc@proton.me, or phone at (502)-383-0914
