Virtual Therapy – Telehealth Counseling
In an effort to flatten the curve and prevent the spread of Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Creative Family Counseling is now offering Virtual Therapy, also known as Telehealth Counseling. Telehealth Counseling allows you to begin therapy or continue therapy online with your Therapist without interruption and from the safety and comfort of your home, using your computer or Smartphone. Using our encrypted program, your Telehealth Counseling is 100% HIPAA compliant and secure.
Once your Telehealth Counseling appointment has been scheduled with your Therapist, you’ll be sent a link for the video appointment. Click on it when your appointment is scheduled to start or open it through the Telehealth by SimplePractice website or app (download free in the app store). You can use the camera and audio on your computer or mobile device.
Cost for a Telehealth Counseling appointment will remain the same as a typical appointment. You will pay remotely for sessions through our typical payment platform, Ivy Pay. For some of our younger clients, appointment times may be shortened; therefore appointment cost may decrease, depending on the time spent in session.
Offering Telehealth Counseling at this time is specific to Kentucky’s current State of Emergency, which allows Therapists on the Creative Family Counseling Team who are not typically eligible to offer Telehealth Counseling to be able to do so. Please be informed that once the State of Emergency is lifted, some Therapists on the CFC Team will no longer be able to offer Counseling online. Also, please note that insurance companies do place restrictions on Telehealth, so your HSA/HRA/FSA cards may not cover Telehealth counseling sessions, and Telehealth counseling sessions may not be reimbursable for those clients who are pursuing Out of Network Reimbursement with their insurance companies.
