Lucas Simpson, Student Counseling Intern

I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern at Creative Family Counseling.  I am also a student at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary where I am working towards receiving my MAMFT.  My small-town roots take me back to Lincoln County, KY where I grew up.  I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Berea College in 2021 and I am a newcomer to Louisville which I now call home.

I am passionate about working in therapy to help clients tell their story in a welcoming and safe space where they can feel seen and heard.  I approach clients with the mindset of having unconditional positive regard and open mindedness.  I enjoy working with people from a variety of ages and backgrounds as well as working with individuals, couples, and families.  My view of therapy is that it is a collaborative process where I as the therapist and you as the client, bring both of our expertise to work towards creating positive and impactful change.  I look forward to working with you!
