Makas the Therapy Dog
Makas, aka “Mak”, is a Chocolate Labrador Retriever who has completed certification as an Animal Assisted Therapy Dog by Pawsibilities Unleashed, along with his Therapist Mom, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Erica Myers. Together, they work at the Prospect Campus. Mak loves receiving back rubs and working hard for treats.
Because Mak was raised by teens at a therapeutic working ranch in North Dakota, he prefers hanging with kids and running in wide open spaces. He served as the facility animal at Hope’s Place Childrens Advocacy Center in Ashland, KY before moving to Louisville. In the Christian bible, Makas means “an end, ending, or growing hope” Mak works at the office four days a week and he is looking forward to inspiring hope in you!
